Operating Policy

In seeking to achieve the commercial objectives of the Company, the Directors and Management of Swire Pacific Offshore recognize that the nature of the business has the potential to cause injury to personnel, damage to property and harm to the environment.

 
The Company is committed to a target of zero injuries and pollution incidents and shall:

  • Endeavour to ensure the safety and well-being of all employees, clients' personnel and others with whom the company has contact.
  • Avoid damage to property and protects the environment from harm.
  • Provide a high quality service to clients.
  • Maintain the highest standards of business ethics.

 
The objectives of this policy will be met by:

  • Complying fully with the documented requirements of the International Management Code for the Safe Operation of Ships and for Pollution Prevention, the “ISM Code”, and the International Ship and Port Security Code, the ISPS Code.
  • Adopting processes and procedures which will be able to handle the Company’s industry-specific needs, particularly the reporting requirements from widely dispersed revenue units back to operational control centres.
  • Ensuring that applicable codes, guidelines and standards recommended by the IMO, Flag Administration, Classification Societies and maritime industry organisations are taken into account.
  • Determining Criteria, methods and procedures needed and ensure the availability of resources and information necessary to support the operation and monitoring of the services provided.
  • Monitoring, measuring, analysing and driving to improve the quality of the services provided.
  • Implementing identified actions necessary to achieve planned results and continual improvement.

This Operating Policy is supported by other specific policies and procedures wherever necessary.
